Background and Interests
Marion Revel studied in France at the University of Lorraine, where she first completed a technical school (IUT: Institut Universitaire Technologique) and continued with an agricultural engineering school (ENSAIA: Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Agronomie et d’Industrie Alimentaire). Due to her strong interest in aquatic ecotoxicology, she deepened her knowledge during her Master’s thesis at the UMR ESE (Ecologie et Santé des Écosystèmes) laboratory in Rennes, where she studied methyliothiazolinone susceptibility variation across different daphnid lineages. Marion Revel has been a PhD student in the research group since November 2020. Her dissertation focuses on the toxicokinetics and toxicodynamics of lanthanides in aquatic organisms. The goal is to create a first draft of a biotic ligand model. The PhD takes place in cooperation with the University of the West of Scotland and HAW Hamburg.
